Phoenix Valley Metro transit bus and light rail services see record-breaking increase in passengers: "PHOENIX - Phoenix transit users have broken the record for the highest-ever recorded number of riders since spring 2009.

According to Valley Metro, there were 7,080,564 monthly boardings among the Valley Metro Bus and Lightrail. That number breaks the record of 6,649,206 passengers in April 2009."
